For the enclosed micro**DRIVE** MP, four mounting holes (M3) are provided to attach the unit to your application securely. It is crucial to use the appropriate tightening torque suitable for the fastener and the type of mounting material being used.

While the micro**DRIVE **MP is primarily intended for aerial vehicles, it is worth noting that implementing vibration isolation for the unit, especially in land-based applications, will significantly enhance its durability over time.

It is essential to incorporate adequate mechanical strain relief for all cables connected to the unit. This ensures appropriate support and protection against any undue stress or tension on the wires.

The current sensing accuracy on the micro**DRIVE** MP is sensitive to external magnetic fields. With this in mind, its important to NOT mount the MP:

- Directly to a ferrous material like steel
- Within approximately 30mm \[1.2 in] of strong external magnetic fields

Doing any of the above will affect current sensing accuracy and may impede over-current protection systems.

If any of these are unavoidable in your case, please consult the Hargrave Technologies team for assistance and advice.

## Cooling Considerations

The micro**DRIVE **MP is supplied with a built-in housing that effectively meets the thermal management needs of the device. To fully utilise the 120A phase current rating in this setup, it is necessary to ensure a minimum airflow of 12 m/s \[39.4 ft/s] parallel to the heatsink (for a 25°C \[77°F] ambient air temperature).
