web based configurator failing to update browser caching policies may prevent the web based configurator from updating correctly an out of date configurator will not have the latest bug fixes, nor support the most up to date devices and firmware versions if refreshing the configurator when prompted to update does not update the version number displayed in the top bar then follow the below directions to clear browser cache and reload the page different browsers may follow a different process to clear browsing data an internet connection will be required to update the configurator google chrome (web) pressing the key combination ctrl + shift + r will perform a 'hard refresh' which should cause the configurator to update if the above key combination did not update the configurator, manually clear the browsing data with the following steps click on the menu button to the left of the url click 'cookies and site data' click 'manage on device site data' click the 'trash' icon to delete on device data for 'configurator hargravetechnologies com' click 'done' click 'reload' when prompted google chrome (pwa/progressive web app) the steps for clearing browser data are the same between the web version and if the configurator is installed as a progressive web app (pwa) however the 'app info' menu is accessed through the three dots next to the window controls expand the menu by clicking the three dots follow above steps for the web version
