Configuring a 4-in-1 ESC
the hargrave configurator allows convenient configuration of 4 in 1 motor controllers by automatically grouping the four units this enables settings on all 4 units to be configured at once connecting to a 4 in 1 each esc on the 4 in 1 will have a unique dronecan node id all 4 dronecan nodes must be connected to to configure the unit correctly configuration of a 4 in 1 esc can be done using the dronecan integration follow the guide to connect to an esc using dronecan wait for all 4 nodes to appear and then select connect configuring group settings once all escs have loaded in they will automatically form an esc group the group settings are settings that will generally be the same between all 4 escs and will be synchronised configuring per unit settings per unit settings are settings that may be unique between each esc on a 4 in 1 switch to the per unit tab to change settings such as rotation direction each card displays information about the individual escs on the top right of each card the device index of that esc is displayed this matches the number that is printed on the pcb this number can be clicked on to identify that esc causing the led to flash and the motor to beep further configuration for more details on configuration, see the esc group documentation
