microFLUX 2MP
Getting Started
this guide provides information on how to successfully integrate the micro flux 2mp power supply into your system and how to take advantage of its features and flexibility it is strongly recommended to familiarize yourself with this guide before connecting or powering on your unit 1\ wiring below are the manufacturer part numbers for mating connectors and pre terminated wires needed to connect to the input and outputs of the micro flux 2mp weight can be minimized by fine tuning the wire size based on system current draw bus input mating connector housing molex 2064610400 or 2064610410 bus input 16 awg pre terminated wire molex 0367693064 (x4) output channel mating connector housing molex 5031492000 output channel 24 awg pre terminated wire molex 2157111124 (x10 black) and molex 2157112124 (x10 red) 2\ communications the following communication checks should be performed on a new system before use, configure the output voltage and power on behavior of each output channel using the quick start guide within the hargrave configurator tool enable the can terminator on the unit furthest away from flight controller if no other can devices are terminating the bus 3\ mounting the following mounting checks should be performed on a new system ensure the power supply is mounted securely to the vehicle ensure all connected cables are externally strain relieved for long term reliability ensure the power supply is mounted in a location with appropriate environmental protection 4\ protection systems activation of protection mechanisms may cause unexpected system responses, including outputs disabling it is important to understand these behaviors and configure them based on your application in particular, if micro flux channels are used for flight critical power rails ensure there are no protections enabled and set to levels that may disable the channel more information is available in the protection systems section 5 initial configuration the default configuration for micro flux is to have all output channels switched off on power up in order to use the device, at a minimum the desired channel voltages must be configured, and the “power on at startup” flags must be set for the desired channels or the channels must be enabled during operation via can refer to the wiring diagram for identifying channel output and wiring polarity during initial integration it is recommended to confirm correct voltage setting with a multimeter before connecting to your system as incorrect settings can damage downstream devices to configure the unit, power must be provided on the input connector and a can adaptor connected to the can connector further details are provided in the settings section voltage selection the micro flux 2mp delivers 2 output channels each channels can be software configured to output at one of 32 discrete voltages between 3 3 to 28 v the output voltage of each channel can be configured via the can interface the selectable voltage options are 3 3 v 11 1 v 21 v 5 0 v 12 v 21 2 v 5 4 v 12 9 v 22 7 v 6 3 v 13 3 v 22 9 v 7 2 v 15 v 23 v 8 v 16 v 24 v 8 2 v 17 9 v 24 9 v 8 4 v 18 2 v 25 7 v 10 v 19v 26 v 10 1 v 20 v 28 v 10 3 v 20 8 v
