Watchdog
the motor control firmware has a watchdog timer to help the motor controller recover from a software crash or unrecoverable error condition if the firmware becomes unresponsive the device will forcibly restart to recover from the error condition a watchdog reset will set an error that is viewable in the configuration tool a watchdog reset indicates either a software or hardware fault support should be contacted if a watchdog reset has occurred recovering from a watchdog reset to ensure that motor drive can resume as quickly as possible certain operations are skipped when recovering from a watchdog reset if beeps are enabled, any beeps before motor drive can begin are skipped, by default the zero throttle check is skipped, and if enabled, the ‘require all signals’ input priority check is skipped
